Vulnerability Series
From April 16-18, 2008, Emory University Law School's Vulnerability Project hosted our first speakers series. This series featured Peadar Kirby, Professor of International Politics and Public Policy, University of Limerick, and author of Vulnerability and Violence and Bryan S. Turner, Professor of Sociology in the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore, and author of Vulnerability and Human Rights. The series was moderated by Professor Martha LA Fineman, Emory University Law School. The series was a wonderful kick off to what we hope will be a new conversation on the issue of vulnerability.
The Vulnerability Project is sponsored by the Race and Difference Initiative at Emory University (http://www.rdi.emory.edu/) and the Feminism and Legal Theory Project at Emory University Law School (www.law.emory.edu/flt). If you have questions about the Vulnerability Project, please email vulnerabilityproject@yahoo.com.
